I Love You, Lady Mary Crawley: Downtown Abbey

First of all, this post has absolutely NO SPOILERS.  And yet, it's true --- I love you, Lady Mary Crawley (played by Michelle Dockery) from Downton Abbey.  Everybody pretty much knows about the British phenomenon and drama, Downton Abbey.  The story basically goes:  The heirs to Downton Abbey go down in the Titanic (I ain't spoilin' nuthin' --- that comes out in the first 10 minutes of the series).  And, in order to save Downton Abbey, it must go to the next heir --- the COMPLETELY uninterested heir, Cousin Matthew. The ultimate?  The eldest daughter of three (none of them sons), Lady Mary Crawley --- should marry Cousin Matthew.  She's been called a "bitch" and a "minx," but I'll say it again --- I love you, Lady Mary Crawley.  I don't care what anybody says about you.  You have the burden of being the eldest, not a male, nor an heir and are a completely modern woman, bound by the standards of an English father, yet conflicted by the flexibility of an American mother.  (P.S. For the record --- I fell in love with Downton before the rest of America.)

I can't wait for the next season! I got into that show and I just...omg. It REALLY sucks you in, doesn't it?

I was sucked in from the very beginning. I don't know why, but I thought it was a mini-series, but then the first season ended on a cliffhanger. Luckily, all I had to do was wait a month. After that, us Yanks gotta wait a full English year for a few episodes. I can honestly say that I love just about all of the characters. But, I adore the Crawley sisters.
