Guardian - Mal Duncan's new armor
You've seen him before. Mal Duncan. But, he started out as somebody else with the Teen Titans. For my "photo shoot," he didn't worry himself with the actual costume. Now, I think he was re-done as the Manhattan Guardian, as somebody else.

A Rene C. Clayton Mystery Story: The Handsomest Threat
Chapter 7
The Handsomest Threat
(A Fake Excerpt)
Wow. A Cosmopolitan. ("Cosmo" for short.) Who knew you could marry vodka, cranberry, lime juice and Tripe Sec into such a perfect union?A curly twist of lemon rind would have been gross sitting on a pile of garbage. But, clinging to the side of a martini glass, unused and uneatable, was just too darned cute. My newfound necatr came in a glass with a wide brim and thin stem, which I had a little difficulty balancing at first. But, the faster I drank, the easier it got. I'm not the classiest guy, but whoever decided that drinks needed to be served in distinct, dedicated glasses was onto something. A tumbler made me feel rugged and male. A beer stein made me wanna be crass and belchy. But, a Martini glass made me feel pink and a little bit glamorous. (Yes, I said "glamorous." And, I also said "pink.") No more Screwdrivers for me. Any APE could make a Screwdriver. But, a Cosmo? That required the work of the gods!
I was supposed to be working the room, ducking in and out of party conversations. Picking up clues. Keeping my suspects off balance with bits of subtle, yet probing subterfuge. Digging for information without being obvious. Instead of working their business, I was working the cocktails. And, this cute little drink was going straight to my head.
There was a man watching me. He broke away from a group of minglers and crossed the room, his eyes glued to me. A smile played at the corners of his mouth, his eyes looking me up and down. Was it my imagination or did he just lick his lips? I stopped mid-sip, my lips at the edge of the glass. My eyes went wide and my lips went into a perfect blow-up doll "O."
That was one good looking man.
"I was thinking about our earlier conversation," he said.
"And?" I took a sip. Damn, this was a good drink. And, I think I looked cute sipping it.
"Cute boys can get hurt, too." He turned and walked away.
'Cute?' Wow.
What the hell? Did he just threaten me?

KICKSTART William Hodge's The Uncanny!!!
Okay. He's at it again. That's right! The fabulous and incredible ---- Dun!Dun!Dun! --- William Hodge, artist and creator of "The Uncanny" and --- (heh-heh) --- MY big brother has put together a Kickstarter project!!! I may have mentioned him before - WILLIAM HODGE. Okay. I did. You may have remembered me mentioning the success of Veronica Mars: The Movie because of Kickstarter. Kickstarter is a program that helps people, generally artist, receive donations in the form of pledges in order to fund their projects. Well, congratulations have long been in order since my big brother did a whole year of consistent work by putting out 7 issues of The Uncanny, including a prologue issue. He ALSO put together two compilations (issues 1- 3, then issues 4-6), additional stories, sketches, previews and a trade collecting everything and then some!!! That's a lot of work in one year. This is not to mention the issues are slowly but surely showing up on the infamous Comixology ---
DIGITALLY!!! The Uncanny #1!!! Well, Kickstarter will not only further fund and fuel his
creative endeavors, but it will print up issues that he can sign and
sell at comic book conventions across the country!!!
But, he needs your
help AND your M-O-N-E-Y! So, you're not just giving him your money. Your pledges/donations also come with a load of other
goodies including the books!!! And, there's a whole list of them on William Hodge's very own The Uncanny Convention Special Comics Kickstarter page!!! (He's not asking for a lot, people. In comparison to others, he's really isn't.) But, hurry --- this opportunity for COOL AZZ COMIX is available until AUGUST 11, 2013!!! HURRY!!! You won't regret it!!! Click here and pledge!!!

Man of Steel -- It's official: LOVE
When I wrote about this back in --- Gee Whiz!!! AUGUST 2011, Superman the Man of Steel seemed like something that would never happen. To say that I never blinked or sat back in my seat during the entire movie would be an understatement. I am in love. And, I'm ready for the next movie.
